In A Potful of Recipes, by JoAnna M. Lund, with Barbara Alpert, it is stated that it is rare in our lives that someone says to go ahead and do whatever your heart desires for the next six hours.
They are talking about time for YOU. Maybe there is not time available usually because you have work and errands and projects you need to work on. The authors hope that while using the slow cooker recipes, you will find a way to carve out a piece of time that you can use any way you wish!
I found one soup recipe and two zucchini dishes that I would like to make and learn as I go.
First, on page 93, there is French Broccoli-Rice Soup. My local store always has broccoli on clearance. Rice is cheap.
Then, on pages 180-181, there are Italian Zucchini and Zucchini Souffle Pot. Have you ever been given zucchini and never know how to fix it? Usually, it is the usual fried zucchini or zucchini bread.
These are my favorites. To find your's, order this cookbook at your local bookstore or library.
