In Love Your Lunchbox, by James Ramsden, he states in the introduction how this book is about the "spirit" of the lunchbox, whether tupperware or a bag, The author's Mother told him it is what is on the inside that counts.

I do not want to be too brutal to this book, but I read every single page thoroughly and was very disappointed. Guess how many lunch recipes I liked? One.
To like the recipes, you have to have an exotic taste. I was looking for something easy to whip up over the weekend for an upcoming week, storing it in the refridgerator. Something good, tasty and simple to place even in a paper bag.
On page 116, there is a recipe for Chilled Cucumber Soup. Yum. Finally. Frugal, filling and tasty. Also, nice for a person watching their weight or to have on a hot summer day. The recipe includes yogurt, dill and olive oil
Have a few jars in your house? Make the soup on the weekend, store in jars then grab and go during the week. You won't spill it all over your lunch carrier!
I am glad I only borrowed this book from the library. The cost of it in the United States is $26.95. If you are exotic, go for it! If not, I saved you some money.
