If you're looking to dread your hair, think very carefully where you arte going to go to get it done. A friend? A family member? Or a hair dresser?
I wanted to best outcome possible, but was so sorely disappointed. I went to a well known African hair dresser. She just didn't know what I wanted.
The process took 6 hours! And cost me over $400. For a result I am far from happy with.
The customer service was poor, the hair dresser ignored me while dreading my hair, she was on the phone, attending other customers and constantly walking away from the job at hand.
From the beginning I had questions, like could they show me some examples of their work, what can I expect it to turn out like, and how long will it take. At no point was I given the opportunity to express these concerns, as watch staff that attended me where too busy.
I wanted soft dreads, not chemicals and wax! I was washed with very strong chemicals, which had me gagging and feeling very nauseous. A very unpleasant experience.
I do not recommend this place for anyone wanting dreadlocks.
