In the First For Women November 30, 2015 issue, there was not too much to be found. However, I will share a few good uses.
Do you have worn-out towels? Give them new life by washing in hot water then pouring in 1 cup of vinegar. Then, run in another cycle with 1/2 cup baking soda. The result? wonderul, fresh and fluffy towels. Vinegar takes away soap residue. Baking soda cleans lingering dirt and odor.
Next, two uses for clear nail polish: (1) ensure envelopes stay sealed and (2) make a wart disappear!
For envelopes that won't stay sealed, brush clear nail polish along the underside of the flap and press to seal as an adhesive.
The pain-free way to remove a wart? Apply a thick coat of clear nail polish to it twice daily. Repeat until it disappears, usually two to three weeks. This creates a seal to wipe out the growth.
While this isn't a "wow" issue, it certainly was practical.
