In the Woman's World December 28, 2015 issue, a few articles stood out, were interesting and are worth covering.
On page 22, Rachel Cosma has an article called, "Take A Break: Sip Health-Boosting Holiday Tea". She states that one may use black, green or chai tea bags with different ingredients to make it delicious, comforting and healthy. The tea recipes include: Apple-Cinnamon Green Tea for a healthy heart and Vanilla Chai Latte to aid digestion.
Also mentioned were "teacup cozies" to slip around your teacup or mug that may be found on ETSY for as little as $3.00.
Another cute article was found on page 47, about what your favorite cookie says about you. For example, if you like chocolate chip you are a creative leader, gingerbread you are a multifaceted charmer, nut cookies an even-tempered doer and peppermint cookies a sociable star!
Finally, on page 54, there is a special article by Sarah Netter describing the work of a woman named Heather McHugh of CAREGIFTED, GETAWAYS FOR CAREGIVERS. Many parents have special needs kids and never have time for themselves. So, a personal tie, her god-son's child a special needs child, made way for her organization. Ms. McHugh gives parents a getaway for a week with money for a babysitter while they are gone.
The article then asks if you would like to be a hero to a parent you know? Give them "takeout" for dinner, offer babysitting services or even conversation over a cup of coffee.
This issue reminds one to have some loving moments whether with a cup of tea, a cookie or a loved one.
