This issue has a few recipes that may not be new to you. However, they have a few different ingredients or methods that make it unordinary. Furthermore, these recipes are frugal! You won't have to walk out of the grocery store broke!
On page 30, there is a recipe for Spicy Spinach Eggdrop Soup that if you weren't really paying attention to the magazine, you'd miss. The different ingredient? Hot chili oil.
On page 79, there is a recipe for Detroit Coney Dogs. The different ingredient? Brown sugar. The rest of the ingredients are obvious, such as beef, onion, etc.
On page 85, there are several different ways to dress up a potato. As shown, you slice the whole potato into slices without fully cutting through to the bottom. Then, the different ingredients? Dress with jalapeno or garlic/ parmesan or mustard herb, etc.
