In The Biggest Loser Family Cookbook, by Chef Devin Alexander and The BIggest Loser Experts and Cast with Melissa Roberson, the introduction by Chef Devin Alexander states that it is time to head to your own kitchen as it is where miracles do occur.
Even the cost of basic staples has climbed, such as bread, milk and eggs. But there is hope. Instead of dining out, apply that money to groceries!
Breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks and dessert are covered. Following are ideas presented in the cookbook that I have found yum and practical.
For breakfast, a spinach, egg and cheese wrap. Simply a tortilla with olive oil, egg whites, cheddar cheese and spinach leaves!
For lunch, how about a pizza burger? A very easy recipe. Lean ground beef, many spices, mozzarella, marinara sauce and burger buns!
A ton of easy snack recipes! For example, fiesta turkey mini-tostadas. Simply, tostito scoops filled with ground turkey breast, salt, pepper and salsa. Tuna in celery sticks...self-explanatory with mayonnaise. English muffin melt...meaning, English muffin with cheddar cheese and beefsteak tomato slices.
Dinner? Grilled chicken parmesan is easier to make then it sounds. Boneless skinless chicken breast with olive oil, salt, pepper, marinara, mozzarella and parmesan cheese. Personally, I'd make it in a crockpot, but that is just me. The book even says to do what works for YOU.
Next, are desserts, of which I could not find a single one I liked. But hey, considering what I did find in this cookbook, I cannot complain.
